Discover our story

On January 2, 1992, we began operations in Mexico City under the name DESARROLLO BASE, working out of a small room adapted as an office, equipped with a drafting table, a lamp, and a telephone. A few months later, we moved into a makeshift space in the family home's playroom—temporarily loaned to us—as we took our first steps forward.

In 1994, we opened our first formal office in the Del Valle neighborhood of Mexico City. Three years later, in 1997, as part of a merger process, we adopted the name Grupo AD+D, consolidating a team of more than 12 professionals specialized in corporate interior design. Over the years, Grupo AD+D established itself as a highly recognized firm within the industry.

In August 2001, with no prior experience in Monterrey and no established client base, we opened an office in northern Mexico. The emerging real estate development in areas like Valle Oriente and San Pedro Garza García represented a significant opportunity for us.

Just three months later, we secured the largest project in our professional journey: the new corporate headquarters for Grupo Financiero Banorte, located in the southern part of the city, encompassing over 23,000 m² of corporate interiors. This project not only opened new doors—it also compelled us to evolve. We realized that our internal structure had to grow in step with the demands of our expanding portfolio.

In May 2003, we adopted our current name: Arquitectura, Diseño y Planeación (AD&P), reaffirming our commitment to corporate interior design. In 2004, we took our first step into architectural design with the Whirlpool offices on Miguel Alemán Avenue. From that point on, our vision broadened, and our capabilities had to evolve accordingly.

In 2006, we were entrusted with the design of Torre Motomex, an impressive tower that, for the first time in downtown Monterrey, integrated a pedestrian plaza with green, tree-lined public spaces.

Over time, AD&P stopped being known solely as an interior design firm and established itself as a comprehensive architecture studio. Every project has added to our experience, strengthened long-term relationships, and introduced new ways of creating value for our clients.

Today, with over three decades of experience, we have developed commercial, corporate, high-rise residential, and mixed-use projects in various cities across the country. What has consistently defined our journey is our service-driven mindset, operational simplicity, and ability to adapt to the unique needs of each client.

Our story has not been without challenges. Starting from scratch in a new city and expanding our portfolio of services required great effort. But consistent, efficient, and well-documented work has always been our calling card. We know the road ahead is long, and that is why we continue to give our best every day.
